Adele lifted her muzzle from the cold dirt, letting out a yawn. It was only early dawn, some considered that too early. Adele was not one of those people, though. She turned her gaze to the warm dark grey canine next to her. It was her one and only love, Adonis. She gave a smile, nudging him with her tail. "Adoniss~ " She giggled. The male grumbled, rolling his head away from the female. "Oh come on, lovee~ " Adele protested. "It was your fault you stayed up so late, doing your hobby of stargazing." She chuckled, standing up on her paws. Adonis gave a sigh. "God i love you, Adele.." He commented lifting his head, touching noses with the female. Adele squealed, hopping back a few feet. She sat back down, giggling. "I love you too~ "
Adonis stood up and stretched, giving the female a quick wink, before he headed out of the den. Adele followed shortly after him. Then the two went along with their normal day activities. Adonis was one of the several Crimsona's hunters. She , while he was gone on his hunting trip, Adele sat around camp and enjoyed herself. She started up a conversation with Axel and a few other members. Though, the second only one of the members came back from the trip, wounded, she knew something was wrong. It wasn't Adonis. She panicked. She, beyond better judgement, began to listen in on the member's story. "A-a traitor.. he.. there was an attack.. it was a trap.." The male spoke, only to be hushed by the healer, who quickly rushed him to where he could be investigated better. They sent two scouts along with the master scout to investigate the scene farther.
Adele paced outside the healer's den. She had to know, what happened? Why wouldn't they let him speak? Why couldn't she see him. Was Adonis okay? He wasn't the traitor, he'd never..- "Adele." Adele was snapped out of her thoughts. She turned her gaze toward the den.
Where the healer stood in clear view. "He wants to speak to you." The healer motioned inside. Adele padded within. "..Yes? " She mumbled, trying to keep a cool mood. "Your mate.. " The wounded male began, "He's not who you thought it was.. he was a spy.. " Adele's blood ran cold. "What?!" She snapped, unintentionally. She stepped closer. "Are you telling me MY mate. MY Adonis would try to hurt anyone? " The female snarled. "You don't know him like i do. " She growled, before she stepped out of the den. She would not go so low as to harm the wounded. "Tell Axel i'm going to investigate the scene. No one dares hurt my dear.. dear Adonis."
The female left the camp without another word. She followed the wounded's scent back to it's origin. She glanced around, blood stained the dirt below her. She gave a small whine before pushing forward. Then she saw a body. Adonis..? She slowly moved closer. "..A-Adonis..? " No response, after all.. It seemed rather dead. She shoved the body with her nose. Nothing. Then she realized something. This wasn't Adonis. Adonis had no scar on his back. She stepped back, quickly glancing around. The bushes gave a rustle. Where the hell were the scouts..? "..Hel- " She was cut off by a sudden tackle to the side. She was quickly pinned down, while she was still recovering from the blow. She stared right back at eyes she knew too well.. Adonis's own.
"I didn't want this to come to this, love.. But it seems i'll have to end your pitiful life myself." He chuckled. "I really, truly did love you.. I was going to keep you. " He grinned. "But, i'm sure i'll find another~ " Adele blinked, tears filling her view. "W-what.. A-adonis.. n-no.." The male simply placed a tail over her mouth, shushing her. Adele wasn't a fighter.. and this wasn't like Adonis. No- No. This wasn't Adonis. Sweet.. Sweet Adonis would never hurt her. The weight was lifted off her when one of the scouts appeared out of the underbrush, tackling the male to the ground. "Traitor! Can't you see your own mate, Adonis! " The scout growled. Adele stood up, shaking. Flashes of the seconds before, appearing within seconds. Her brain couldn't process it. "A-adonis.. s-sweet.. s-s-sweet.. adonis.." She mumbled to herself. The scout was kicked off. Adonis stood up, growling at the two. Adele suddenly replaced Adonis's image with a previous rouge's image. She said not a word but stood in front of the scout, it wasn't his place. Adele stepped toward Adonis, before suddenly tackling the male, who couldn't react quick enough to dodge her.
The male took the blow with a yelp. He was winded for a moment but stood up, quickly. He formed a snarl and backed up a bit. He was about to run but Adele's teeth met his flesh before he could run. She had bitten the male's right leg, which had been facing her. Adonis reacted biting the back of her neck. She yelped, and let go. Adonis picking the female up and slamming her to the ground. Adele sat there for a moment, winded. Adonis had lowered her head to deliver the finishing blow. Though, Adele suddenly jerked her jaws right into his windpipe. Adonis coughed, and stumbled backwards, gasping for air. The male suddenly fell limp, falling to the ground. Adele took a few heavy breaths before she stood up. The scouts then helped Adele back to camp.
Adele sat in the healer's den next to the other wounded male. She gave the male a quick glance, huffing. "Your lucky.." The male spoke. "Life could've done worse." Adele simply turned away from the Male, ignoring him. What did he know..
